I want my America Back!!
I’m having a rough time explaining to the twenty-something kids what it was like for me as a kid growing up in the 60’s and the 70’s. Those were when you could “leave a job today and have another job today.” They don’t understand that America used to be a large industrial nation. They cannot conceive that almost everything that you bought was made in America and only a handful of items were imported from over-seas.
I made it a point to tell them that during the Ragan-Era we exported TONS of grain to Mother Russia so that their people wouldn’t starve. They look at me bewildered when I tell them about the fruit-farms, vegetable farms along with all of the stands selling these products that used to dot the countryside in which I grew up.
I also pointed out that you could leave your keys in your car and not worry about it being stolen. -Incidentally, we also went to bed at night and left our windows and doors unlocked too,
You could drive out into the country and see all of the bean-fields, the corn fields along with the wheat fields growing and how, -come mid summer you could get lost driving down a country road because the fields were so full and tall with produce. Detroit REALLY was the Motor City. Akron Ohio was called Rubber-City-USA because THAT was where the tires were made that went on your cars and everything else that rolled down the road.
Pittsburgh, PA was once known as Steel-City, along with Akron, Canton and Youngstown. After all, that’s where all of the steel and metal was made that went into the automobiles and the girders that built the high-rise buildings and sky-scrapers that filled our once Proud Nation.
The huge hulking coal furnaces that once smelted the metals are now entombed inside of the dead empty carcasses of what once was the vast numerous factories that were the landscape of our land.
Flint Michigan used to be called Buick City. After all if you bought a Buick, it came from there, because that’s where they were made! -Now long gone. The factories have all been torn down and scrapped.
The kids growing up today and a lot of the young adults coming up don’t understand the concept of “You can be anything you want to be in life” They don’t have the understanding that hard-work and determination will always win out over lack-luster and laziness.
I’m severely saddened by the America that I live in today, and yet, I’m not that old. I’m only 52, will be 53 in January. My father was a proudly decorated World War II Vet. I was raised to believe that “If you’re going to do the job, do it right or leave it for someone else!” I’m not sure what’s going to become of the America that I love.
Right now it looks very bleak. Greed and corruption have taken control of our government. It has worked its way into the bull-works and the fundamentals upon which our once Great Nation was founded. I don’t mean to sound like a pessimist here, but It’s going to take a lot more than the likes of Herman Cain as a President to get things turned back around.
Our present administration is quite possibly the most evil, vile corrupt administration that I have EVER seen in office in all of my years alive on this earth.
Richard M. Nixon would blush at what he would see if he were alive today. I guess we just have to keep on pushing for what we know is right. I don’t see much of a choice other than to just lay down and die. Trust and believe… THAT is NOT an option!
The Nazi movement is very much alive here in America and in Europe as well. -It’s not just here. What alarms me, is that ALL of us here in the free world have allowed our selves to become passives. We’re so damn worried (well some are) about being politically correct that we’re not only being over-ran by the Nazi’s, but also the communists; the socialists; the towel-head-ass-lifting Muslims; and for good measure… lets throw the Mexicans in there too.
Today is a very sad day in this world of ours. I sit here in my office and read the various news feeds that are coming in. “OCWS” has now gone global. The riots and destruction in Rome is just awful. There is more to this than just class war-fare now. I am seriously very worried for the very future of our Country.
Presently we have a Left-Wing, Radical-Marxist president who is doing exactly what he said he would do… Bring CHANGE to America. A CHANGE that we as a Nation UNDER GOD, can not withstand. He lists his political party as a Democrat. This is an absolute lie. He is a socialist, Marxist-communist! This man believes in BIG Government and TOTAL control. He does not see himself as The President of the United States. He sees himself as the exalted ruler of the free world!
My fears are that this Nation of ours will not be able to hold on much longer, let alone even being able to make it to the next Presidential election.
Have you noticed that Obama has not been doing much campaigning? Have you also noticed that his “coffers” are full and overflowing with money for his reelection? I strongly fear that we may not see the next election. I strongly believe that an attempt to overthrow our very own government is slowly happening from with in. Far fetched you say? -Do some research for yourself and see what conclusions you may have for your self.
I ask you this… Why has this man NOT been impeached for the atrocities of justice that he has already committed. He has seemingly been relentlessly trying to circumvent the check and balances that our government has in place in order to protect itself.
My father and many more like him fought in WWII in order to preserve our Democracy, our Freedoms and Our very rights that are slowly little by little being taken away from us by a run-away-government that is now seemingly totally out of control. I seriously and profoundly predict a total financial collapse of the United States of America in the very near to immediate future. Those of us who do not see this happening are fools.
I’m quite certain that if this happens any monies that you may have saved will be worthless. There will be no government checks going out… Nothing. Can you conceive it? Can you even imagine this happening and the end result of such a collapse?
People in the larger cities have the biggest to fear, as riots will continue to take place. I wouldn’t be surprised to see anarchy taking place here soon. Again, I am truly and unequivocally saddened and depressed at what I see happening now. I know not what the answers are. Not one person does and the people we have in place to provide leadership to our country are doing anything BUT.
Some of us have labeled ourselves “Conservative-Patriots” or just plain
“Patriots” I used to think that maybe I was becoming a “tad-bit-touched in the head” with some of the views that I was coming up with, that is until I started talking with others. I just shared with you my vision of the next holocaust that will be happening right here in the streets and the neighborhoods of America.
They’re already pitting class-warfare, putting American against American not only socially but economically as well. For anyone to NOT believe that we are on the verge of a socio-economic collapse… they are fools. Pure and simple. At times I feel almost like I’m writing the next Orson Wells novel.
Presently the TSA is performing check points on some of the Nations highways. They are allowed to pull you over and perform a complete search of your car without a warrant or a probable cause to do so.
This is tyranny, pure and simple.
Is the TSA above the law? Where do they fall into place? Are they above the State Highway Patrol? Are they above the United States Marshal? Just where does this German Like Gestapo fall into place in our country?
Occupy Wallstreet is just the very beginning of things to come here in America. My fears are that there will be mayhem in the streets as more and more people join this clan as a way to demonstrate against the United States Government. Face it, there are a lot of pissed-off angry folks out there right now.
Because of my beliefs as to what will happen next, I’m really wrestling with my next place to move to. I don’t think my staying here in the city is a very
good idea. I’m becoming more and more convinced that the only place any of us might be safe would be a small town or a rural setting, stock-piled with a year or two’s worth of food and water, and all of the guns and ammunition that you can
get your hands on. A close personal friend of mine Doug Shepherd, once told me “Yeah, I’m busy investing in precious metals and gunpowder!”
Progress is a very real ideal. However, what we see happening in this nation and to it is anything BUT progress. Leave your allegiance to your party aside. Vote with some understanding and common sense in 2012. The very future and the life-blood of our Once Great Nation will be depending upon it.
Marxism, Socialism, Communism are all alive and well on both sides of the ticket. Learn to walk softly and carry a big stick!
